2016

The Group enters the adjacent polythene films market through the acquisition of British Polythene Industries PLC (BPI). With 19 sites, based mainly in the UK, it adds a sixth division called RPC BPI to the Group and provides a further platform for consolidation and growth.

2016

The acquisition of Global Closure Systems sees RPC Group turnover surpass £2bn and establishes the Group’s manufacturing capability in 28+ countries.

2015

RPC acquires Promens Group AS which adds 40 operating sites to the Group, 6 countries and extends our plastic conversion processing capabilities to include rotational moulding.

2014

RPC acquires Ace Corporation, a Hong Kong company with 5 manufacturing sites in China, creating a meaningful presence outside Europe.

2013

The Group acquires Maynard & Harris Group significantly enhancing RPC’s US footprint.

2013

In June RPC Group launches its new strategy - Vision 2020, extending manufacturing coverage by 13 countries and generating additional EPS of 13.2p from synergies from the resulting 9 acquisitions to date.

2011

Admission to FTSE 250 (in March).

2011

RPC acquires Superfos, increasing group turnover to over £1bn.

2010

Launch of RPC 2010 – a programme of amalgamations and divestments.

1998-2011

Numerous acquisitions, including Wiko Group and 11 manufacturing sites from Rexam and Nampak.

1997

RPC acquires Continental Plastics Europe (12 sites) from Schmalbach-Lubeca, establishing a presence in mainland Europe.

1993

RPC Containers Ltd lists on LSE and RPC Group Plc is formed.

1991

RPC Containers Ltd is established as an MBO of 5 manufacturing sites in the UK from SCA (Svenska Cellulosa Aktiebolaget).
